Minutes of the meeting held on 15.5.2019 at 11.30 am in DGFT(HQ), Udyog Bhavan to discuss the cases of import of items under Indo-Nepal Free Trade Agreement In Chair: Shri K.C. Rout, Additional DGFT 2. The following officers attended the meeting: i. Shri S.P. Roy, Joint DGFT ii. Shri Suresh Chandra, Deputy Director, Directorate of Sugar and Vegetable Oils iii. Shri S. Anil Kumar, JTO, Directorate of Sugar and Vegetable Oils iv. Dr. MamtaRupolia, Spices Board, v. ShriNirmal Kumar, Deputy DGFT 3, The Committee noted that 1,00,000 MT of Vanaspati is to be available under TRQ under the Indo-Nepal Free Trade Agreement 4. To make allocation for the financial year 2019-20, the Committee noted that only 04 no. of applications have been received 2 Considering that there are only 4 applicants and the total quantity of Vanaspati applied for is 33,000 M'T, the Committee decided to allocate to each of the applicant the quantity they requested for. 6. The Committee also noted that concerned RA before issuing the authorization must ensure obtaining the full processing fees from all the applicants. RA must also ensure before issuing the authorization that all other necessary documents are received with them. de "he Committee further noted that the import of Vansapati, under the Indo-Nepal FTA will be subject to fulfillment of Rules of Origin and the CoO criteria, besides the mandatory regulations by FSSAI . 8. The Committee decided that the above allocation is provisional. If there is any grievance on the allocation made by the Committee, the applicants may represent by 24.5.2019. The RAs may issue authorization after the final minutes are uploaded on the DGFT website. ASE
