Office of Directorate General of Foreign Trade SCOMET Division RK ORK Minutes of Inter-Ministerial 19.09.2018 on Special (SCOMET). Working Group Chemicals, Organisms, (IMWG) Meeting No.06/2018-19 held on Materials, Equipment and Technologies Meeting No.06/2018-19 on Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET) was held under the Chairmanship of Shri Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, Addl. DGFT on 19.09.2018 at 03.00 P.M in Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi to consider the applications for export of SCOMET items. 3. Altogether 114 applications (including 51 deferred cases) were considered by the IMWG, out of which total 31 cases were approved | (including 16 post-facto approvals), 01 case was rejected, 06 cases were dropped (due to deficient applications) and remaining 76 cases were deferred due to want of comments/NOCs from concerned IMWG member agencies or in await of information/clarification from the applicants. The applicant may note that they need not to submit any further application or documents before the Regional office of DGFT. (iii) Approved post-facto : Cases which are shown as Approved post-facto implies that approval against those cases have already been issued by DGFT (Hgrs), with the approval of Chairman, IMWG in terms of Para 2.74(1X) of HBP (Handbook of Procedure 2015-20). In order to facilitate export, Para 2.74 gives power to Chairman, IMWG to issue authorization in those cases, which have been discussed by IMWG at least once in previous meeting and got deferred, and where NOCs / recommendations have been received subsequently from the concerned agency(ies) with no divergence in views. However, such cases, shall be brought before IMWG in its subsequent meeting for approval on ex-post facto basis.
