Minutes of Inter-Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) Meeting No.09/2017-18 on Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET) held on 20.12.2017 at Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi Meeting No. 9 (2017-18) of Inter -Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) was held under the chairmanship of Shri Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, Addl. DGFT on 20.12.2017 at 12.00 Hrs in Room No. 04, H-Wing, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi to consider the applications for export of ‘SCOMET’ items. 2. Altogether 92 applications (including 48 deferred cases) were considered by the IMWG, out of which total 32 cases were approved (including 03 post facto approvals and 01 case approved subject to NOC) and remaining 59 cases deferred due to want of comments/NOC from concerned IMWG member agencies or in await of information from the applicants. (iii) Approved cases: SCOMET permissions for approved cases by IMWG are issued by DGFT(Hgrs.) through electronically generated system only and sent to Regional Authority (RA), DGFT concerned with a copy to the applicant. An SMS/E-mail alert along with reference number of concerned RA for approved cases will also be generated and sent to the applicant in this regard. The applicant may note that they need not to submit any further application or documents before the Regional office of DGFT. (iv) Issue of export license by the RA, DGFT : RA can see the Digitally singed Authorisation / Approval letter on clicking the ‘View attachment’ option after logging into online SCOMET at URL http://dgft.gov.in/ecomra/ and locate file by searching file (Example 21089 and press find button) and issue export authorization /license accordingly for such applications within three working days without waiting for any further communication(s) from the applicant or DGFT(Hars).
