Minutes of Inter-Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) Meeting No.08/2017-18 on Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET). Meeting No. 8 (2017-18) of Inter Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) was held under the chairmanship of Shri Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, Addl. DGFT on 22.11.2017 at 12.00 Hrs in Room No. 04, H-Wing, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi to consider the applications for export of ‘SCOMET”’ items. 2. Altogether 84 applications (including 45 deferred cases during the last meeting) were considered by the IMWG, out of which total 35 cases were approved (including 05 post facto approvals and 02 cases of subject to NOC) and remaining 49 cases deferred due to want of comments/NOC from concerned IMWG member agencies or in await of information from the applicants. (iii) SCOMET permissions for approved cases by IMWG are issued by DGFT(Haqrs.) through electronically generated system only and sent to Regional Authority (RA), DGFT concerned with a copy to the applicant.

An SMS/E-mail alert along with reference number of concerned RA for approved cases will also be generated and sent to the applicant in this regard. (iv) RA can see the Digitally singed Authorisation / Approval letter on clicking the ‘View attachment’ option after logging into online SCOMET at URL http://dgft.gov.in/ecomra/ and locate file by searching file (Example 21089 and press find button) and issue export authorization /license accordingly for such applications within three working days without waiting for any further communication(s) from the applicant or DGFT(Hars).
