||||||||||||||;<br>|||<br>||||||2.<br>TheCommittee noted that32PSIAshavebeen notified inAppendix2G till date, Further, asperPublicNoticeNo.63dated27/3/2017,<br>thedesignated ports forimport ofun-shredded metal Scrap are requiredto install Radiation Portal Monitors and ContainerScanners by31/3/2018,<br>Asthedesignated ports are intheprocess ofinstalling Radiation PortalMonitorsand Container Scanners, the position needs bereviewedoncethe<br>deadline approaches and thereafter it needs to be seen as to whether there is a requirement of the PSIAs. That being the case, the Committee<br>decided that till that time and until further notice no new/fresh applications should be accepted for enlistment of PSIA since the matter may be<br>reviewed inApril, 2018. In light ofthis, theCommitteewas oftheviewthatthePSIAswhoareapproved in this meetingmayhavea validity of less<br>than 3 years ifthe designated ports become functional to scan unshredded metal scarp and since a number ofagencies have been enlisted as<br>PSIA’s no furtherfresh applications may be invited or accepted. The Committee accordingly decided that no fresh applications for recognition as<br>PSIA will be considered afterthis IMC meeting.||
||||||||||||||||||||3.<br>The Committee also decided to seek details ofinspectiondone bythe PSIAswho are inAppendix 2Gand ifthe details are not provided<br>within the stipulated time, the PSIAsmay be liable to be delisted.||
