Bhawan, New Delhi to finalise the quantum of (i) Calcined Pet Coke (0.5 Million MT) for Aluminium Industry and (ii) Raw Pet Coke (1.4 Million MT) for CPC manufacturing to be allotted in pursuance to the Public Notice No. 4 dated 17.4.2020 In Chair Shri Hardeep Singh, Additional DGFT The following officers attended the meeting: i. Dr. Sundeep, Scientist F’, M/o Environment, Forests and Climate Change ii. Shri Gaurav Kumar, Director, M/o Petroleum & Natural Gas ii. Dr. Sudheer Chintamani, Scientist 5, M/o Environment, Forests and Climate Change iv. Shri Gagandeep Singh, Deputy DGFT 2: As per para 5 of the Minutes of the meeting held on 3.6.2020, M/s Petro Carbon and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. was provisionally allocated the quota subject to submission of CTO duly mentioning the quantity allowed for imports. In the SPCB certificate submitted by the applicant with their application, the Production Capacity mentioned was 93,744 MT/annum which was used to calculate the quota as on page 4 of the Minutes. Later, M/s. Petro carbon and Chemicals (P) Ltd., (PCCPL) submitted an addendum to consent to operate (CTO) dated 22.06.2020 issued by WBPCB which mentions the Production Capacity as 92,640 MT/annum. Accordingly, the calculations were revised and it has been decided to allocate a quota for import of RPC to PCCPL as 87,438 MT. The import quota is subject to the following: conditions: “1.

The unit shall install the Flue Gas Desulphurization system (having efficiency of Sulphur removal more than 90%) as per various order passed by the Hon’ble NGT in connection with Original Application no. 67/2019 and O.A. no. 138/2019” 2. “The unit has to comply with the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 09/10/2018 vide W.P (S) (Civil) No(s) 13029/1985” 3. The unit has to comply the guidelines notified by the MoEF&CC, GOI vide no. Q- 1801 1/54/2018-CPA dt. 10.09.2018 for import of raw pet coke.” ¢ The allocation is subject to the pending WP (Civil) No. 3709 of 2020, Rain Cll Carbon (Vizag) Ltd. & Other vs Union of India & Others in Delhi High Court.
