Minutes of the Meeting held on 8.2.2019 at 11.00 am in DGFT(HQ), Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi to finalise the allocation of surrendered quantity of Raw Pet Coke and Calcined Pet Coke allotted in pursuance of the Public Notice No. 50 dated 26th November, 2018 In Chair, Shri K.C. At the outset Committee was informed that the allocation made in the EFC meeting held on 12.12.2018 was reviewed in the held on 27.12.2018 and revised allocation was made for allocation of RPC as in Para 4 below. Further, in both the Minutes of EFC Meetings it had been mentioned that if any applicant desires to import only part of the allocation or not import at all, the unutilized quantity must be surrendered, under intimation to the Regional Authority with a copy to DGFT latest by January 31%, 2019, in order to facilitate distribution of the unutilized quota to other applicants who had applied initially.

Accordingly, the applicants were reminded via e-mail to intimate whether they propose to utilize the entire quantity allotted to them or they intend to surrender the quantity or part of the quantity of petcoke allocated to them and if so the details thereof. In response. four applicants viz. (i) Kalinga Calciner Ltd., (ii) Amritesh Industries (P) Ltd., (iii) Brahmaputra Carbon Ltd.and (iv) Neo Carbon (P) Ltd. have informed that they propose to surrender whole/part of the quantity of petcoke allocated to them. As regards, CPC, only one applicatnt viz. M/s Hindalco Industries Ltd. has proposed to surrender a part of the quota of CPC allocated to them. 4. Two firms viz. (i) Rain CU Carbon (Vizag) Ltd., (ii) Sanvira Industries Ltd. in the meanwhile have requested for allocation of surrendered quantity of RPC to them. Another request has been received from M/s Petro Carbon and Chemicals (P) Ltd for allocation of surrendered quota. No request has been received for allotment of surrendered quantity of CPC.

The Committee also reiterated its earlier decision that holders of the license for import of Petcoke would keep the RA informed of the details of his import consignment i.e. the quantity of import, source, date of import along with details of Bill of Entry in respect of each consignment on clearance of goods from Customs. Subsequently, a consolidated Teport within 30 days of the expiry of import authorization period must be submitted to the Regional Authority, giving consolidated details of all imports made during the period. cl ~ ae
