Minutes of EFC meeting No. 12/AM-16 dated 17.3.2016 for import of restricted items Meeting No. 12 of AM-16 of EXIM Facilitation Committee (EFC) was held on 17.3.2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Room wo, 4, H-Wing, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi under the chairmanship of Shri Darshan Singh, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade to consider the applications for import of restricted items 25 The following members attended the meeting (i) Shri P. Sarath, Director, Defence Research & Development Organisation (ii) Shri Swaraj, Under Secretary, Min. of Home Affairs (iii) Shri J.K. Singh, Under Secretary, Min. of Petroleum & Natural Gas (iv) Shri O.P. Sharma, Joint Industrial Adviser, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (v) Shri Tarun Kathula, Project Officer, Min. of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (vi) Dr. Monal, Consultant, Dept. of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (vii) Shri Rajesh Malhotra, Dy. DG, DGFT (शा). Shri Nirmal Das, FTDO, DGFT J. The total number of cases considered in the meeting was 259. The Committee approved 52 cases, rejected 7 cases & deferred 200 cases. Where two or more technical authorities have recommended different quantities, the lower quantity has been approved by the Committee. For cases listed under DF&PD, where approval of DGFT is required under para 2.20(c) of FTP 2015-20, approval of the Committee is subject to the subsequent approval of DGFT. 4. The Regional Authorities of DGFT are required to issue import authorisations as mentioned below the cases which have been approved by the Committee. The enclosures, wherever required would be sent by DGFT HQrs by e-mail/post. The Regional Authorities must issue import authorisations with the conditions as indicated and after obtaining the requisite fees from the applicants. They must also verify the details mentioned in the import authorisation with that stated in the ANF-2M submitted by the applicant. DGFT HQrs will not send separate import permission letters and the import authorisations are to be issued on the basis of these minutes. (The import permission letters in the case of gold dore will, however, be sent separately).
