Approved Cases: Cases marked as Approved denote that the Export Facilitation Committee (EFC) has accorded its approval, and export authorisations have been or will be issued by DGFT accordingly. Approved Post-facto: Cases indicated as Approved Post-facto refer to those in which export authorisation was issued by DGFT with the prior approval of the Chairman, EFC under Para 2.48(c) of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP), 2023. This is in line with Para 2.51 of the HBP, which empowers the Chairman, EFC to grant authorisation in cases where subsequent receipt of recommendations/NOCs from concerned technical agencies reveals no material divergence of views. Such cases are formally placed before the EFC in its next meeting for post-facto ratification. Dropped Cases: Cases shown as Dropped are those where the applicant firm has remained non-responsive to repeated queries from DGFT and/or the concerned Administrative Ministry/Department and has failed to furnish requisite documentation or clarification within the stipulated period. These cases are removed from the active EFC agenda.

However, upon receipt of complete information/documents, such cases may be reopened with a fresh application date. Rejected Cases: Cases marked as Rejected denote that the EFC, in consultation with the relevant Administrative Ministry/Department, has decided to deny authorisation. Grounds for rejection may include lack of support from the technical agency, failure to furnish mandatory documents, or non-compliance with procedural timelines (including responses to deficiency letters). No further communication shall be issued in such cases; however, the applicant may request a review of the EFC’s decision by approaching DGFT.

VI. Closed Cases: Cases listed as Closed indicate that, upon consultation with the concerned Administrative Ministry/Department, it has been concluded that the proposed export item does not fall under the category requiring a Restricted Export Authorisation.
