I Date- 24.12.2018 Public Notice No. 160/2018 Anti-dumping duties were earlier imposed on import of Viscous Filament Yarn originating in or exported from People’s Republic of China vide Customs Notification No. 81/2009-Customs (ADD) dated 13.07.2009. These duties were extended vide Notification No. 23/2012-Customs (ADD) dated 04.05.2012 which were further extended upto 02.05.2018 vide Notification No. 14/2017-Customs (ADD) dated 03.05.2017.

However, the Designated Authority issued final findings vide Notification F. No. 15/16/2016/DGAD dated 20.04.2018 to discontinue anti-dumping duty, largely because anti-dumping duty has been in force for 10 years and has served the intended purpose for which it was imposed. 3. Challenging the said disclosure statement along with final findings issued by DGAD dated 20.04.2018, a Special Civil Application No. 6374 of 2018 (tilted as M/s India Rayon Pvt. Ltd. Versus Union of India & Ors.) was filed before Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat. 4. Attention is invited to the Para 3 of the interim order dated 29.10.2018 passed by Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat in the said special Civil Application (No. 6374 of 2018, M/s India Rayon Pvt. Ltd.

Therefore, the above directions of Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat is brought to the notice of all concerned engaged in import and export of “Viscous Filament Yarn” originating in or exported from People’s Republic of China.
