6.15 — Reconditioning/Repair and Reengineering

(a) EOUs shall be set up with approval of UAC to carry out reconditioning, repair, remaking, testing, calibration, quality improvement, upgradation of technology and re-engineering activities for export in foreign currency. Provisions of paragraphs 6.07, 6.08, 6.09, 6.12, 6.13of FTP and para 6.29(a), (b), (c) and (d) of HBP shall not, however, apply to such activities.
(b) EHTP/STP/BTP units shall be set up with approval of IMSC to carry out reconditioning, repair, remaking, testing, calibration, quality improvement, upgradation of technology and re-engineering activities for export in foreign currency. Provisions of paragraphs 6.07, 6.08, 6.09, 6.12, 6.13of FTP and para 6.29(a), (b), (c) and (d) of HBP shall not, however, apply to such activities.
