सावाजजनक सूचना / PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 14/2018 SUB : Export Policy of Onions- Imposition of Minimum Export Price (MEP). Attention of the Exporters, Custom Brokers, other members from trade & industries and all concerned are invited to Notification No. 45 /2015-202, dated 19th January, 2018 issued by Directorate General of Foreign Trade on the above subject.

2. Vide aforesaid Notification, Central Government has amended Notification No. 39/2015- 20 dated 23.11.2017 relating to export of onion.
3. Para 2 of Notification No. 39/2015-20 dated 23.11.2017 is substituted as under: "Export of onion for the item description at Serial Number 51 & 52 of Chapter 7 of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import Items shall be permitted only on Letter of Credit (LC) subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 700 F.O.B. per Metric Ton till 20.02.2018".
4. Effect of this notification is that export of all varieties of onions as described above will be allowed only on Letter of Credit (LC) subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 700 F.O.B. per Metric Ton (instead of US$ 850 F.O.B. per Metric Ton) with immediate effect and till 20.02.2018.

Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
