Sub: Goods Registration timings for examination of export goods at Export Docks; reg.
Attention of all the importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, and other stake holders
is invited to the Public Notice No 23/2016, dated 12.02.2016 and various other
instructions issued in regard to “registration and examination of goods in Export Docks” by
JNCH.
2. Trade has represented that officers in the Export Docks are not following directions
contained in Public Notice No 23/2016, dated 12.02.2016 in regard to rounds of
examination and issue of LEOs. It is also noticed that there is considerable delay in feeding
stuffing report in the system.
3. In view of the above, aforesaid directions are re-iterated for strict compliance. DC/ AC
Export Docks have to ensure that:
i.
All shipping bills are allowed for registration from 10:00 AM to 06:30 PM.
ii.
First round of inspection/examination is to be carried out from 1130 hours to 1300
hours and Let Export Orders (after feeding of examination report) need to issued in
respect of such shipping bills from 1300 hrs onwards (before lunch break)
iii.
Next round of inspection/examination is to be carried out from 1500 hrs / 1530 hrs
to 1730 hrs / 1800 hrs and Let Export Orders (after feeding of examination report)
should be issued in respect of such shipping bills from 1730 hrs onwards.
4. It is also directed again that after completion of stuffing of cargo into containers,
stuffing report would also be fed in the system on the same day. In case of late hours
stuffing, AC/DC (In charge of Docks) will ensure that stuffing reports are fed into the
system before 1100 hrs on the next day. This aspect need to be monitored by ADC/JC
incharge of export examination.

Difficulty, if any may also be brought to the notice of Deputy / Assistant
Commissioner in charge of Appraising Main (Export) through email / phones (email
address: apmainexp@jawaharcustoms.gov.in , Phone No : 022-27244959,).

The earlier Public Notices issued in this regard stands amended to the above extent.
Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as
standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
