Subject:  Revision in Appendix 37 A and 37 D of Handbook of   Procedure – Volume I.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009­14, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies revised Appendix 37 A and 37 D of the Handbook of Procedure­ Volume­I (Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms). This shall come into force with immediate effect. 2.   Product description and ITC HS codes of items mentioned in Appendix 37­A and 37­D of HBP v1 have been harmonised.   Appendix 37 A , Appendix 37 D (Table‐1), Appendix 37 D (Table2)     (Anup K. Pujari) Director General of Foreign Trade E­mail: dgft@nic.in                                                                                                                                 (F. No. 01/61/180/230/AM13/PC­3) Explanation: As a result of harmonization (a) serial number against some items have undergone changes and (b) new ITC HS codes have replaced old and outdated ITC HS codes. It is emphasized that this is only an exercise to align / harmonize and hence there has been no addition / deletion in entitlement. Grant

of benefit may be considered if product description is accurate even though ITC HS code mentioned in shipping bill is the  earlier ITC HS code (the old one that is being replaced now).
