Subject: Export of Milk Products (Quality Control, Inspection and Monitoring)
Rules, 2000. Attention of the Exporters, Custom Brokers, other members from trade & industries and all concerned are invited to Export of Milk Products (Quality Control, Inspection and Monitoring) Rules, 2000.
The approval of establishment for processing & packing of milk products
for exports is mandatory under the Export of Milk Products (Quality Control, Inspection
and Monitoring) Rules, 2000. This approval is granted under Rule 4.15 of the Export of
Milk Products (Quality Control, Inspection and Monitoring) Rules, 2000 to process milk
products for export for a period of two years at a time as per the following details:-

The permission to export the milk products to “European Union” is granted only
after permission of Export Inspection Council of India in this regard.

The approval number allotted to the establishment of the exporter are required
to be legibly marked on all export packages of milk products. The details of
identification mark shall comply with the requirements given in the executive instruction.
“Q” mark along with approval number shall be legibly printed/ labeled on the all export
packages (master cartons) of milk products as required by the Executive Instructions.

The Export Inspection Agency shall issue “Certificate for Export” for every
consignment of milk products under the Export of Milk Products (Quality Control,
Inspection and Monitoring) Rules, 2000. The validity of the “Certificate for Export”
issued by the establishment shall be 45 days from the date of issuance.
6.
Difficulty, if any may also be brought to the notice of Deputy / Assistant
Commissioner in charge of Appraising Main (Export) through email / phones (email
address: apmainexp@jawaharcustoms.gov.in, Phone No : 022-27244959,).
7. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be
considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
