Amendments in Hand Book of Procedures(Vol. I). RE 2008

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE  No.    22 (RE­2008) /2004­09 NEW DELHI: the     2nd June, 2008                 In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004­09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 1(RE­2008):   1.    The following sub­paragraph stands added at the end of paragraph 4.22.1:­   “Whenever a ban / restriction is imposed on export of any product, export obligation period in respect of advance authorisation already  issued  prior  to  imposition  of  ban,  would  stand  automatically  extended  for  a  period  equivalent  to  the  duration  of  ban, without any composition fee”.          This issues in public interest.       (R.S. Gujral) Director General of Foreign Trade And Ex­Officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India
