TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PARTI, SECTION1) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE NEW DELHI PUBLIC NOTICE No. 101 (RE2007)/200409 Dated 14th January 2008 In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 20042009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I): Attention is invited to Public Notice No 93(RE2007)//200409 dated 27.12.2007, which announced the procedure for implementing Para 3.8.6 benefits. After the end of Para 3.19.10, the following is added. “The allocation of duty credit scrips by RA, CLA, New Delhi, under Para 3.8.6 of FTP (RE2007), shall be done proportionate to the eligible claims of individual applications, visàvis the total eligible claims of all the status holders put together, received for each half year (AprSep 2007 / OctMar 2008) period, in such a way that the total benefits granted for all status holders put together does not exceed the limit prescribed for each half year in Para 3.8.6 of FTP (RE2007). Accordingly if the total eligible claim of all the status holders put together is, say, Rs 200 Cr, each applicant status holder would be granted onefourth of the claim an applicant is eligible for.” This issues in Public interest.
