TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY   PART­1 SECTION­1   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE NEW DELHI                 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 28(RE­2007)/2004­09           DATED 24th July,2007.     In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002­07, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes  the following  amendments in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I):   1.                  The fourth Paragraph of Para 3.2.5 of HBP v1 (RE2003) is replaced as under: “Application shall be filed with jurisdictional regional authority as per the address given in the Status Certificate.” Accordingly Zonal Committee is abolished. Zonal Offices shall transfer applications filed with them(including pending and deficient applications) to RA concerned, for further processing.   2.                  In Para 3.2.6A(V) the last sentence is replaced as under: “However, a request for issuance of split certificate(s) after issuance shall be permitted and Split certificate with different port of registration shall  also be allowed.”   3.                  In Para 3.2.6A(VI) after the last sentence, the following shall be added: “The certificate that are valid on date of issue of this Public Notice, shall have an extended validity for a further period of 12 months from the issue of this Public Notice, without requirement of endorsement of extended  validity on the certificate from concerned regional authority.”   This issues in Public interest.
