TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­I)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO.24(RE­2007)/2004­2009 NEW DELHI, DATED THE 23    JULY, 2007             In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004­2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol.I :   1.                 Paragraph 2.20.1, relating to ‘Corporate Guarantee’ shall be amended to read as under:   “2.20.1  A Status holder or a PSU may also submit Corporate Guarantee  in lieu of Bank  Guarantee/LUT in terms of the provisions of relevant Customs Circular in this regard.  In case of a group company, if one company of a Group is a status holder, Corporate Guarantee may be given for another company by this company, which is not a status holder”.   2.                 Sub­para 3 of paragraph 2.33 of Handbook of Procedures Vol.I stands deleted.                          This issues in Public interest.                                                                                                               (R.S. Gujral) Director General of Foreign Trade and Ex­Officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India   (Issued from F.No. 01/94/180/678/AM07­PC­I Pt.)
