TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I SECTION­I) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE No.  22/(RE­2007)/2004­2009 NEW DELHI, DATED THE  17th July, 2007   In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004­2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1):

Para  5.3.2  of Hand Book of Procedure (Vol. I) shall be amended to read as under:

  Authorisation  holder  shall  produce  to  concerned    RA  a  certificate  from  Jurisdictional  Central  Excise  authority  or  an independent Chartered Engineer (CEC) confirming installation of  Capital goods at factory premises of authorization holder or his supporting manufacturer(s)/ vendor(s) within six months from date of completion of import.  In the case of import of spares, the installation certificate  shall be submitted by the importer within a period of three years from the date of import.   This issues in Public interest.     (R.S.Gujral) Director General of Foreign  Trade  and Ex­officio  Additional  Secretary  to  the  Govt.  of India   (issued  from File  No.01/94/180/192 /AM­08/PC­I)
