// ADVANCE COPY //   TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE  NO. 36     (RE­2006) /2004­2009 NEW DELHI, DATED THE      27th  July, 2006             In  exercise  of  powers  conferred  under  Paragraph  2.4  of  the  Foreign  Trade  Policy  2004­2009,  the  Director  General  of  Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I):   1.         After para 2.8(v), following new para shall be added:   (v.a)    Persons importing / exporting permissible goods as notified from time to time, from/to China through Gunji, Namgaya Shipkila and Nathula ports, provided the CIF value of a single consignment does not exceed Indian Rs.25,000.     2.         After Sl.No.11 under para 2.8(vi), following new Sl.No.12 with relevant details thereof shall be added:   S.No   Code Number Categories of Importers/ Exporters 12 0100000134 Persons  importing  /  exporting  permissible  goods as notified from time to time, from/to China through Gunji,  Namgaya  Shipkila  and  Nathula  ports, provided  the  CIF  value  of  a  single  consignment does not exceed Indian Rs.25,000.     This issues in Public interest.   Sd/­   ( K.T. CHACKO ) DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE and         EX­OFFICIO ADDITIONAL SECRETARY TO THE GOVT. OF INDIA
