TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART – I, SECTION – I)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO.  53/ 2004 –09 NEW DELHI, DATED : 19th September, 2005 In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004­09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I), 2004­09 :­ (1)               In Para 2.32 (i) the following paragraph will be added :   “c) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Paragraphs above, import of scrap will be allowed only in shredded form from the ports listed in Annexure ­ II to Appendix ­ V of the Handbook of Procedures.”   (2)               The following Annexure will be included in the Handbook of Procedures :   Annexure – II to Appendix – V   List of Port of Shipment from where only shredded metallic scrap will be allowed in terms of Para  2.32  of  the  Handbook  of Procedures   (i)                  Bandar Abbas, Iran.   This issues in the Public interest.     (K.T. CHACKO) DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE AND EX­OFFICIO ADDL. SECRETARY TO THE GOVT. OF INDIA   Copy to all concerned,   (Issued from F. No.  01/89/180/Misc.65/AM05/PC­I(B))
