TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PARTI, SECTION1) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 33(RE2003)/20022007 NEW DELHI: 14.11.2003 In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 20022007, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I): Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 14 dated 31.5.2002, read with the relevant portions of Public Notice No. 33 dated 26.8.2002 and Public Notice No.53 dated 31.12.2002, which introduced a special provision for exemption of special additional duty (SAD) on DEPBs issued under the Exim Policy 200207 where the order of “Let Export” was prior to 1.4.2002. 2. Notwithstanding the provision given in paragraph 4.47 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I) 200207, all exporters filing applications for actual user DEPB pending realization of export proceeds or a transferable DEPB subsequent to realization of export proceeds, in respect of shipments where the date of order of “Let Export” is prior to 01.04.2002, shall be required to do so latest by 31.3.2004. (This amendment extends the last date of filing of applications under PN 14 dated 31.5.02 to 31.3.2004) 3. The other conditions detailed in the relevant portions of the above mentioned Public Notices shall remain unchanged. This issues in the Public interest. (L.
