TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY  (PART­1, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTR Y OF COMMERCE&INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE     PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 27      (RE­00)/1997­2002 NEW DELHI,  the    3rd   August ,2000                       In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997­2002,  as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part­II­Section 3 – Sub­ section (ii) vide S.O.No.283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol.1). (RE­00), 1997­2002.    1.       The following shall be added after the first sentence (at the 3rd line) in the 2nd  sub –paragraph of paragraph  7.5:            “However, for the purpose of calculating the CIF value for       “ Advance Licence for deemed exports/intermediate supply”,  deemed export  performance    of  the    preceding  year  (FOR  value),  in  addition  to  the  FOB  value  of  preceding  year  physical  exports,  shall  also  be  taken  into consideration”.   2.       The following amendments/corrections shall be made in the Appendix 28­A­   (i)             The value Cap for DEPB entitlement against Sl. No. 303 of Product Group :Engineering shall be corrected to read as Rs. 0.85 /per  piece instead of Rs. 85/­ per piece.   (ii)                      The  description  of  export  product    appearing  at  Sl.  No.475  of  Product  Group  :Engineering  shall  be  amended  to  read  as  :  “Spheroidal graphite/Malleable/Ductile iron casting (Rough)”.

description  of  export  product    appearing  at  Sl.  No.475  of  Product  Group  :Engineering  shall  be  amended  to  read  as  :  “Spheroidal graphite/Malleable/Ductile iron casting (Rough)”.   3.           The value addition norm at S.No: (d) of Appendix­39 shall be amended to read as under:­            “For exports to the Russian Federation against funds available against Special Rupee Accounts in the name of Russian Entities, the value addition norms in cases involving duty free imports under the Duty Exemption/Remission Scheme shall be 33% or the percentage of value addition indicated in the Hand Book (Vol.2) whichever is higher”.               4.      The following shall be added after S.N. 5 under the State   Head Uttar Pradesh   in the Appendix– 51B:­
