Subject: Amendment in Export Policy of Betel Leaves

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 201520, the Central Government hereby makes following amendment in the Chapter 14 of Schedule - 2 of ITC (HS) Export Policy related to export of Betel leaves.

2. Effect of this Notification:

Export of Betel leaves to European Union is now subject to registration with SHEFEXIL, the designated Competent Authority for issuance of health certificate instead of APEDA.
