Subject: Insertion of a new policy condition under Chapter 87 of ITC (HS), 2017 - Schedule — 1 (Import Policy).

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby inserts a new Policy Condition, number (10) at the end of Chapter 87 of ITC (HS) 2017 — Schedule — 1 (Import Policy) as under:(10) Policy Condition 1 and 2 [except for 1 (II) (d) (iv) and 2 (II) (d)] above shall not be applicable for import of automotive mining equipments, oil rigging equipments for operation in captive mines/ oil rigging areas and vehicles for research and development purposes subject to the condition that the imported item is re-exported / scrapped under certification from the concerned authorities, once its purpose is served. Above condition is applicable for both old/used and new equipments/ vehicles. Further these equipments/ vehicles shall not ply on public roads, except for mobilization and demobilization purposes.

  1.
