Notification No 68 (RE–2013)/2009-2014 New Delhi, Dated: 12 February, 2014
Subject: Export of Arms and related materials to Government of Iraq.
S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in Para 2.1.1 of Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 with immediate effect:
- Existing Para 2.1.1 of Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 shall be substituted as under:
“2.1.1 The import/export of Arms and related material from/to Iraq is ‘Prohibited’. However, export of Arms and related material to Government of Iraq shall be permitted subject to ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Department of Defence Production”.
- Effect of this notification:
Export of Arms and related material to Government of Iraq has been permitted subject to ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Department of Defence Production.
