NOTIFICATION No. 12 (RE – 2013)/2009-2014 New Delhi, the 13th May, 2013

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in Chapter 8 of ITC (HS) 2012, Schedule 1 (Import Policy):

2.     The CIF value of Areca Nuts under the following Exim Codes of Chapter 8 of ITC (HS) 2012, Schedule 1 (Import
   

Policy) is revised from the present ‘Rs.75/- and above per Kilogram’ to ‘Rs. 110/- and above per Kilogram’. The revised entries shall be as under:

Exim Code Item Description Policy Policy Conditions Areca Nuts: 0802 80 10 Whole Free Provided CIF value is Rs. 110/- and above per Kilogram. 0802 80 20 Split Free Provided CIF value is Rs. 110/- and above per Kilogram. 0802 80 30 Ground Free Provided CIF value is Rs. 110/- and above per Kilogram. 0802 80 90 Other Free Provided CIF value is Rs. 110/- and above per Kilogram.

The minimum price for import of Areca Nuts is enhanced from existing Rs. 75/- to Rs. 110/- per Kilogram.
