NOTIFICATION NO. 4 /(RE-2007) / 2004-2009 NEW DELHI, DATED 1st May, 2007

S.O. (E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under:

  1.     The following paragraph shall be inserted as a provision under sub-para 2 of existing Condition 6 of Chapter I
    

A (General Notes to Import Policy) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 2004-2009:

“Provided that in so far as import of Cement is concerned, the conditions a) and b) above shall remain suspended till 31.03.2008 and condition c) would read as:

c) Items are procured from pre-identified sources, which have been given a license to use ISI Mark in accordance with Foreign Manufacturers’ Certification Scheme of BIS. “
