NOTIFICATION No. 23 (RE-2005)/2004-09 NEW DELHI: Dated: 31st August, 2005

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule-I (Imports) to the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09:

1. The Policy conditions of the following Exim Codes will be amended:

Exim Code Item Descriptions Policy Policy conditions 25151100 Crude or roughly trimmed Restricted Import will be subject to Import Licensing Notes No.(2) of the Chapter. 25151210 Blocks Restricted Import will be subject to Import Licensing Notes No.(2) of the Chapter. 25151220 Slabs Restricted Import will be subject to Import Licensing Notes No.(2) of the Chapter.

2. Import Licensing Note no, (2) will be inserted at the end of Chapter 25 and will read as follows:

   “Import of marble will be subject to the conditions laid down in Policy Circular 24 (RE-05)/2004-2009 dated 30.08.2005.”
