NOTIFICATION NO. 16 (RE-2003)/2002-2007 NEW DELHI, the 17th July,, 2003

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with 1.1 and 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007 , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 2002-2007 and as amended from time to time:-

II. The following new entry may be created in Table B of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) under sub-heading “Fish and Crustaceans, Molluscs and other Aquatic Invertebrates”:-

Code No Item Description Policy Nature of Restriction 0306 (a) Lobsters except the undersized Lobsters as defined below at (b)

(b) A consignment / lot is considered to be undersized if it contains the following species Free

Prohibited Free if conditionalities at sub-heading (b) in Column 2 are not applicable.

Not permitted to be exported

Try out the HTML to PDF API any piece of which has a weight less than that specified below against the species or has been processed out of or obtained from individual pieces of the following species weighing less than the minimum weight against the species :-

Rock Lobster

(i) Panulirus polyphagus 300 gm as whole chilled , live or frozen; 250gm as whole cooked ; 90 gm as tail.*

(ii) Panulirus homarus 200gm as whole live , chilled or frozen; 170 gm as whole cooked; 50 gm as tail.*

(iii) Panulirus Ornatus 500gm as whole live / chilled or frozen ; 425 gm as whole cooked; 150gm as tail.*

(iv)Thenus orientalis 150 gm as whole ; 45 gm as tail.*

• Note :- “ as tail ” means without head.

Effect of amendment:-

        With the issue of the instant notification the exports of juvenile lobsters of the above kind stands prohibited.
