NOTIFICATION NO. 6 /2002-2007 NEW DELHI 3, June 2002

S.O. (E) - In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2002-2007 published on 31st March,2002 as amended from time to time. Vide notification No. 4 of 2002-2007 of 15th May,2002, at the end of Chapter 85 of the ITC(HS) classification of import and export items 2002-2007 sub-para No. 1 was inserted. Now another sub-para (sub-para 2 is proposed to be inserted) in the import licensing notes as under:-

                    “Import licensing notes

(1) …………………[Already inserted vide Notification No. 4 dated 15th May, 2002.]

(2)     Import of films including films on video tape, compact video disc, laser video disc or digital video disc, as classified under this Chapter, shall

be governed by the provisions of the Public Notice No. 64/1997-2002 dated 29.01.2002 as appended to the chapter 37.”

This issues in public interest.
