NOTIFICATION No. 38 (RE-2000)/1997-2002 NEW DELHI DATED THE 16th NOVEMBER, 2001

     S.O.(E)  In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of  the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22

of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy ,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made up to 31st August,1998)” and as amended from time to time; the existing entry and the amended entry are shown as follows:-

1. Table B of Schedule 2:
   

   (a) Existing Entry

Certificate from Textile Commissioner, Mumbai on the registration, allocation, quality and quantity of export. However, EOU/EPZ units will not require any such registration and these units shall inform the office of Textile Commissioner of the quantity of cotton waste exported each quarter.

(c) Effect of Amendment

      The restriction shown at column 4 in respect of item at Code No.5202 has been deleted.
