NOTIFICATION NO. 28 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 NEW DELHI the 10th September, 2001

S.O(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and as amended from time to time:-

 ( i )              In respect of entry relating to export of Tea to Russia under the Rupee Debt Repayment mechanism at Code No.0902 in Table B of

Schedule 2 , the condition (a ) under column 4 i.e. “Nature of Restriction” and also the entry No. 30 relating to export of Tea under the Rupee Debt Payment mechanism in Appendix 1 to Schedule 2 may be deleted.

( ii ) The following new entry may be created in Table B of Schedule 2.

( iii ) The following entry may be corrected to read as follows:-
