NOTIFICATION NO. 25(RE-2001)/1997-2002 NEW DELHI: 24th August, 2001

S.O (E) - In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification No. 44(RE- 2000)/1997-2002 dated 24th Nov, 2000 :-

“Not withstanding anything contained in the Appendix V to the aforementioned notification, import of valves/valve fittings to be used exclusively in the cylinders for CNG Kits for automobiles, will be exempted from the conditions at paragraph 6 of the aforementioned notification (Registration of manufacturer – exporter with BIS). However, this exemption shall be applicable only on such valves/valve fittings, import of which has been approved by Chief Controller of Explosives, Nagpur.”

This issues in Public Interest.
