NOTIFICATION NO. 49 (RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 NEW DELHI, 7th February, 2001

S.O (E) - In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby allows import of articles intended for donation for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the Earth Quake in the State of Gujarat, ‘Freely’, subject to the conditions specified in Department of Revenue circular No.7/2001-Cus. dated 27.01.2001. However, the items, import of which is ‘Prohibited’ as per the book titled , ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, shall not be allowed to be imported.

            This issues in Public Interest.
