S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made up to 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby the makes following further amendments in Schedule 2, Table-B of the book titled ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002.

(1) All the entries under the Heading “Raw Hides and skins (other than fur skins) and leather ” may be deleted and the following entries may be inserted, namely: -

Hides and Skin, namely;

(i) Raw Hides and Skins, all types Excluding lamb fur skin (ii) Fish Hides and Skins (iii) All categories of semi- processed Hides and Skins and wet blue

The exporters shall be required to register the export contracts indicating the price, quantity etc. with the Council for Leather Exports
