SCOMET Minutes of Inter-Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) in DGFT

Minutes of Inter-Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) Meeting No. 02/2022-23 on Special Chemicals, Organisms,
Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET) was held under the Chairmanship of Shri Vijay Kumar, Additional DGFT on 26.05.2022 at Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi to consider the applications for export of dual use ‘SCOMET’ items.

2. Total 208 applications were considered by the IMWG , out of which total 49 cases were approved (out of which 18 approved on post-facto basis, 09 approved based on all NOCs received from the IMWG members/decision taken in the IMWG meeting, 22 applications approved subject to clear and unconditional NOC of one IMWG members). 53 applications have been dropped and 03 applications have been Rejected by IMWG members from the agenda. The remaining 103 applications have been deferred due to want of comments/NOC from concerned IMWG member agencies or information/clarification is awaited from the applicant firms.
3. After approval of applications by the IMWG and subject to fulfilling other conditions, the export authorizations are issued within three working days. The original copy of the export authorization is sent through Speed post, at the given address.

The applicant can check the status of their cases from DGFT website from the above link and avoid sending emails for updated position unless in urgent cases. 4. After deliberations, the decisions of the IMWG on each online SCOMET application is indicated in the tabulated statement given below:
