Subject: Facility of Part Delivery of Import Consignments- reg.

Attention of all Importers, Customs Brokers, Members of the Trade and others is invited towards Facility Notice No. 47/2007 dated 07.11.2007 concerning practice of giving Part Delivery of import consignments vide aforesaid Facility Notice, the facility of Part Delivery was extended to cases where all Containers have not reached the CFS concerned within 24 hours of the arrival of the first Container at CFS subject to conditions as laid down in the said Facility Notice. 2. Further requests have been received from Members of the Trade that waiting time of 24 hours should be reduced taking liberal view and facility of part delivery may be extended in case of homogenous finished goods also. 3. In view of the said requests and as a trade facilitation measure, it is herby informed that: (i) Part Consignments received between 12 noon and 12 midnight (both inclusive) shall be eligible for Part Delivery at the beginning of the Working Hours of next day whereas Part Consignments received after 12 midnight upto 12 noon shall be eligible for Part Delivery after 5 PM of the same working day. (ii) Facility of part delivery will be extended in case of goods of homogenous nature, including finished goods. 4. Facility Notice No. 47/2007 dated 07.11.2007 stands amended to the extent as mentioned above. 5. Difficulty faced if any may be brought to the notice of undersigned.
