Division of SAD refund section into 6 units to take care of increased work load and speedy disposal of refund as a trade facilitation measure

Attention of all the importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers and other stake holders is invited to the increased work load in the SAD refund section. It is now decided to divide the present four units i.e. SAD-I to IV of SAD refund section into six units i.e. SAD-I to SAD-VI as trade facilitation measure with effect from 01.01.2016. These units will look after the processing and sanction of SAD refund claims as per the details given below: Sr. No. SAD UNIT Customs tariff Heading 1 SAD-I From Chapter 1 to 26 2 SAD-II From Chapter 27 to 38 3 SAD-III From Chapter 39 to 40 4 SAD-IV From Chapter 41 to 55 5 SAD-V From Chapter 56 to 83 6 SAD-VI From Chapter 84 to 98 In this regard, the importers/Exporters and all other stake holders involved in the processing and sanction of SAD refund claims are requested to take note of this for speedy disposal of SAD refund claims.
