Public Notice No. 53/2025 __

An area admeasuring 80,000 sq. mtrs. of M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd located at plot no. 1, sector 7, Dronagiri Node, Taluka Uran, Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra was notified as a Customs Area vide Notification No. 02/2000 dated 25.01.2000. Vide notification no. 17/2012 dated 08.11.2012, an additional area of 21,401 sq. mtrs. was also declared as Customs Area. Thus a total area admeasuring 101,401 sq. mtrs. of M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd was notified as customs area.

2. M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd was appointed as "Custodian" and "Customs Cargo Service Provider" of the notified area vide Notification No 19/2010 dated 15.03.2010 and 17/2012 dated 08.11.2012 and vide subsequent notification no. 11/2015 dated 19.03.2015 and Public Notice No. 123/2020 dated 24.9.2020.

3. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under section 45(1) and 141(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, B. Sumidaa Devi, | Commissioner of Customs(General), Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, | Mumbai Zone-II, Nhava Sheva hereby renew the appointment of M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd as the "Custodian" of imported goods received at the Container Freight Station of M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transshipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. Similarly, M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd will also be the 'Custodian' of the export cargo brought into the said Container Freight Station for examination and stuffing till their exportation through | Jawaharlal Nehru port. | Y. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 10 of the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009, I, B.

Sumidaa Devi, Commissioner of Customs(General), JNCH hereby renew the approval of M/s Balmer Lawrie and Co Ltd as the "Customs Cargo Service Provider" for the said CFS subject to the following conditions:

(i) The Custodian M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd approved as "Customs Cargo Service Provider" shall abide by all the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 and Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 and other notifications, orders issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs in this regard.

(ii) The appointment of M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd as "Custodian" and "Customs Cargo Service Provider" shall remain valid till the time their AEO authorisation is valid and not suspended or revoked in terms of Regulation 12 of HCCAR, 2009, subject to review, if any, done under the first proviso to sub-regulation(2) of Regulation 10 of the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009.
