Request: Amendment in the thickness of Export Product against Advance Authorization No. 0510329142 dt. 09.07.2012 Decision: The request of the firm was considered by NC and on the recommendation of Technical Representative of D/o C&PC present in the Meeting, following has been observed: (i) Thickness of the export product was allowed as “0.06 MM to 0.60 MM” as applied in Advance Authorization by the firm.

(ii) The Applicant in its letter dated 15.05.2014 has requested to change the thickness from “0.06 MM to 0.60 MM” to “0.60 MM to 2.00 MM” on the ground that at present there is no demand for the thickness less than “0.60 MM to 2.00 MM” range in the international market. This amendment is required only for change in the thickness and will not change any quantity of export / import items allowed earlier by NC.

The Committee on the recommendations of Technical Representative of D/o CPC present in the Meeting decided to amend the thickness of export product to read as “0.60 MM to 2.00 MM” on following conditions:

(i) The change is only for the purpose of regularization. This advance authorization was issued on 09.07.2012 and the firm has made their request for change in the thickness almost after expiry of two years.
(ii) This amendment at this stage should not be an excuse for taking extension in the export obligation period. RLA will decide the validity of licence and extension period as per Foreign Trade Policy.
