Decision: The Committee considered the request of firm for amendment in the description of Import Item from “Used, Waste and Scrap Rubber Tyre cut into two or multiple Cut Pieces” to “Used, Waste and Scrap Rubber Tyre cut into two or multiple Cut Pieces”.

Technical Authority of DIPP present in the Meeting clarified that the export product can be manufactured by import of (a) Waste, Pairing and Scrap of rubber (other than hard rubber) and powders and granules obtained there from OR (b) Used Rubber Tyres in one cut in bead wire and used rubber tubes cut in two pieces .

In view of above, the Committee felt that there is no need to permit import of “Used, Waste and Scrap Rubber Tyre cut into two or multiple Cut Pieces” which is restricted item for import, duty free under Advance Authorization and decided to reject the request of firm maintaining its earlier decision taken in Meeting No. 31/AM15 held on 29.10.2014. , Zio afera flo Rea, sng éive.
