Request: Deletion of condition of obtaining NOC from Ministry of Environment & Forest against Advance Authorization No. 0310714644 dated 08.11.2012

Decision: The Representation of firm letter dated 14.10.2013 for deletion of condition of obtaining NOC from MOEF was considered by NC. The Committee noted that the firm has now furnished No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by Ministry of Environment & Forest (MOEF) vide their OM No. 23-93/2014-HSMD dated 11.06.2014 in which MOEF gave their no objection for import of 7000 MT of “Used and cut non-radial tyres / tubes scrap (used, waste & scrap rubber tyres / tubes, without valves, cut into two or more multiple cut pieces and granles) for their Solapur Plant, Dist. Solapur (Plot No. D-9, MIDC Chincholi) by the firm for manufacturing of Reclaim Rubber through JNPT Mumbai, Kandla, Pipavav, Tuticorin, Cochin, Nhava Sheva Port and Chennai Port.

The permission for import is valid till the validity of consent to operate, that is, upto 31.12.2014 issued by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. The import of Used Rubber Tyres / Tyre Scrap / Tube Scrap should not be contaminated with any other waste. Further import of used tyres scrap and tubes scrap which are in solid state and physically verifiable, compulsory compliance requirement with respect to test report of analysis of hazardous waste from laboratory is not required.
